Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “Will you give me a drink?” She replied, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink?” Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. Whoever drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst. I am the Messiah.”
A royal official lived in Capernaum whose son was sick. He went to Jesus and begged him to heal his son, who was close to death. Jesus said, “Go, your son will live.” The man believed Jesus and went home. Before he arrived, his servants met him and said, “Your son is alive and well.” He believed, along with his whole household.
Jesus went to Peter’s house in Capernaum and found Peter’s mother-in-law sick in bed with a high fever. They asked Jesus to heal her. He took her by the hand and helped her up. The fever left her. Later, many sick people were brought to Jesus, and he healed them.
