His death left the memory of a virtuous man and the example of noble generosity, not only for the young but for the entire nation. (2Mac 6, 30-31)
Goodness always emerges victorious. Sometimes we must take the difficult, painful path, even without the will to do so.
What for? To help others. There is no other reason. For them everything, and for me nothing. Virtues are good acts in themselves that make the person who performs them good. Virtues are acquired through the repetition of acts. They remain rooted in moral principles proven for centuries and accepted as good. The famous Ten Commandments of the Law of God.
